How we use cookies
Check-a-Property uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Strictly necessary — keeping you logged in, storing your cart, and protecting your security. These cannot be disabled.
- Functional — remembering your preferences such as dark mode.
- Analytics — understanding how visitors use our site so we can improve it. Data is aggregated and anonymised.
- Marketing — we do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies.

Your choices
When you first visit our site, a cookie banner gives you three options:
- Accept All — enables all cookie categories.
- Reject All — only strictly necessary cookies remain active.
- Manage Preferences — choose exactly which categories to allow.
You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by services we use. Supabase manages authentication, and Stripe processes payments. These services may set their own cookies as described in their privacy policies. We do not control third-party cookies.
Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies are set under the exemption in Regulation 6(4) of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR). All other cookies require your explicit consent under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and PECR Regulation 6. We do not set non-essential cookies until you give consent.
